Florida Teens Kidnap Vegas Event Host, Drain $4 Million From His Crypto Wallet
Three teenagers from Florida have been charged with kidnapping a cryptocurrency event host at gunpoint and stealing $4 million in digital assets. The victim, targeted after hosting a crypto-related gathering in Las Vegas, was abducted from his apartment in November 2024.
The assailants—identified as Belal Ashraf, Austin Fletcher, and an unnamed minor—forced the victim into a vehicle, covered his head, and drove him to a remote Arizona desert. Threats against his life and his father’s were made unless he surrendered his wallet credentials.
Law enforcement disclosed the incident in a May 10 report, highlighting escalating physical risks tied to high-value crypto holdings. No specific coins or exchanges were mentioned in the robbery.
